This zero-emission SUV promises to be an
instant hit for electric car fans in California. For the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV,
options include a choice of two rear-wheel-drive units, three battery sizes,
regular and performance AWD, as well as the option of choosing the orientation
of the powertrain.
The base 1LT is a more economical standard FWD
with a range of 247 miles, but for more range, opt for the 2LT with a range of
up to 293 miles from a single charge. The RS offers a sportier trim and comes
standard with a choice of FWD or RWD (for more power), offering a range of up
to 320 miles. The SS comes standard with performance AWD and is equipped with
the largest battery offering 557 horsepower and 648 pound-feet of torque.
All Blazer models use a single-speed automatic
transmission and come with an 11.5-kW onboard charger as well as General
Motors' Ultrium Charge 360 program, which includes more than 100,000 public
charging stations across the country. Additional Blazer SUV specs include:
●
17.7-Inch diagonal display screen
●
Up to 557 total hp
●

On the outside, the Blazer EV SUV is
breathtakingly beautiful with sculpted lines fenders mirrored by bulging wheel
arches. The front looks nothing like the smooth face worn by other EVs but is
fitted with a bold futuristic look common with gas-powered vehicles. The
monochrome LT trim wears 19-inch wheels, while the RS is covered with a black
grille and accents and is fitted with 21-inch wheels. The SS stands out with a
unique front grille, front and rear skid plates, black roof, obligatory
badging, and 22-inch wheels.
On the inside, you’ll find an 11-inch
instrument panel display and a 17.7-inch infotainment screen fitted into the
cockpit. The RS and SS trims offer a flat-bottom steering wheel and unique air
vent shapes and come with suede microfiber seats, LED ambient interior
lighting, and contrast stitching. Blazer EVs come with FCW, AEB with pedestrian
detection, LDW, LKA, and ACC.
The 2024 Blazer will be available in four trim
options. The mid-range RS and Blazer 2LT models are expected to hit the market
in the summer of 2023, with the top-spec SS trim joining shortly after in the
fall of 2023. The lowest-priced 1LT trim is expected to be on the market in the
winter of 2024.
